Seismic Analysis of 10 MW Offshore Wind Turbine with Large-Diameter Monopile in Consideration of Seabed Liquefaction

With the increasing construction of large-scale wind turbines in seismically active coastal areas, survivability these high-rated-power offshore (OWTs) marine and geological conditions becomes extremely important. Although research on dynamic behaviors OWTs under earthquakes has been conducted with consideration soil-structure interaction, attention paid to impact earthquake-induced seabed liquefaction supported by large-diameter monopiles remains limited. In view this gap, study carries out analyses a 10 MW OWT combined wind, wave, earthquake loadings. This uses pressure-dependent multisurface elastoplastic constitutive model simulate soil phenomenon. The results indicate that motion monopile leads more extensive surrounding monopile, specifically zone near pile toe. Moreover, compared loading alone, severe coupled Accordingly, responses are apparently amplified, which demonstrates importance considering coupling Compared loading, effect wave response potential is relatively insignificant.
